This exercise helps you see the important skills you have learned in your previous jobs. The Compare Occupations tool can be used to clarify transferrable skills. Here’s how to do it:

• Put the ONET code of your target job into the Job 3 position.
• Put the ONET code of your current job into the Job 2 position.
• Put the ONET code of your previous job into the Job 1 position.

Look at the knowledge, skills, and abilities across the three jobs to find knowledge, skills, and abilities you have from your current and previous jobs that you will need in your target job. Make notes for each area here:
